Raquel Allegra

First off, I want to apologise to any regular readers of the blog for my month-and-a-bit hiatus. I don't have a juicy reason, no exciting projects or holidays, just time getting away from me. I think it's a sign of getting old. Well, there was a short trip to Chester, but more on that later.

Right now, I want to talk about Raquel Allegra. Allegra is an LA designer who specialises in meticulously hand-picked laddered clothes, giving that whole disheveled rock chick look a whole new level of chic. Her own website is frustratingly thin on information and images, but a Google search shows that there's plenty out there. For example, on Trendhunter, you can see images from the Spring 2010 lookbook. Most places who sell her line are in the US, but, and this is why I'm bringing her to your attention in the first place, Liberty has some of her pieces in their sale. Wahoo!
