I'm going down to La La Land

As if Sarah Graham wasn't busy enough. She's a stylist, she runs an online vintage boutique, she founded Scotland's own fashion magazine, Coveted. Now she's opened a shop in DeCourcey's arcade. The shop, La La Land, specialises in stocking the brands that bloggers love: Babooshka, Tatty Devine, I Heart Norwegian Wood, Jefferey Campbell, and Lazy Oaf. It's basically a wee slice of indie fashion heaven.

The shop launched last night, with bubbly and Auntie M's fabulous cakes. Auntie M has taken one of the spaces upstairs in the Arcade with a 1950s style 'cake lounge'. I took lots of pictures, but you'll really just need to pop in yourselves to take a look.

De Courcey's arcade has long been Glasgow's destination for shoppers who are too cool for school. And if the smashing success of Felix and Oscar (once a small shop in De Courcey's, now a chain) is anything to go by, there are plenty of those shoppers in Glasgow.

Be sure to drop by the shop on 21 October for the fashion magazine swap shop, where you will get a chance to trade some of your fashion mag hoard for something you haven't read yet.

And in honour of the new shop, I thought I'd share my favourite Green Velvet tune with you...

  1. Was lovely to meet you last night. Returned today to get my Babooshka shop after suffering a bit of a cake hangover today.

PS: I'm still in love with your ring

  2. It was nice to meet you too! I'm keeping my eyes open for the next In the Company of Wolves...
