Five clutches

Being a fan of Charlie's Angels, I had been looking for a good clutch way back before they became THE bag to carry. At that time, there wasn't much to choose from, but I did manage to get an amazingly soft and gorgeous one from Halston in 2008 (80% in the Selfridge's sale - pictured left). It's large and unstructured and refreshingly free of logos.

Now, clutches are everywhere, and if I was able to walk around with a bag in my hand (instead of a baby or a stroller), I would be thrilled. My preference is for the oversized, 70s reminiscent styles, trashier than the small art clutches and minaudiere perfected by Charlotte Olympia, Olympia Le-Tan, Alexander McQueen, and the queen - Judith Lieber.  I've pulled together a list of five of my favourites, at a variety of price points.
