Glasgow's forecast for this weekend: busy!

The weekend officially starts tomorrow! If you're in Glasgow, and you like food, head to SWG3 for the Street Food Cartel, which will be held every evening during the weekend and Sunday afternoon. Fire in Babylon will be there (I had some of their offering at a previous festival and I would just like to say Yum!!) as will the Bullet (not familiar with them, but the website says 'retro American street kitchen').

That's food for your body covered, but what about food for your soul? If you like music, and you want something really different, check out the Music Language Festival, and celebrate Glasgow's underground music scene. That's a broad spectrum indeed, encompassing folk, noise, hip-hop, techno, jazz, lo-fi, and probably things that don't have a name yet. The event will be running all weekend at various venus across the city, so support your local guitar slinger and take in a gig or two.

If you want something a bit more traditional, you should celebrate the weekend by heading to the Kelvingrove Gallery and Museum to enjoy some Bach by the RSNO on Friday night. Stunning music in an epic setting.

If you're looking for something a bit more strenuous Friday night, you could attend the Roller Stop roller disco at Jumpin Jaks on Sauchiehall Street. I don't know about you, but I totally miss rolling around in a circle listening to Crimson and Clover. You don't even need your own skates. You can rent.

Summer is nearly over, but there are still plenty of outdoor events happening to help you enjoy the last of the sunshine. If you like cycling, you will want to catch the finale of the Pedal On festival in Kelvingrove park. There will be fun events for the whole family all day, including a traditional Victorian carousel, workshops and activities for the kids, bike stunt displays, a pedal-powered cinema and smoothie bike, and an air bag - a soft place to practice your bike tricks.

And finally, there's the LIttle Birds Market on Sunday. There will be vintage and crafts as well as cakes. The market will be held from 12 to 5pm at Sloan's Bar & Restaurant.
