James Victoire posters

Posters with the bold, super-charged imagery of Williamsburg-based Artist James Victore are now on sale at Fab.

Interesting story - when I was at University in New York (Sarah Lawrence College to be precise), Williamsburg was just starting to emerge as a cool place for artists and designers to live and work. It was still pretty rough around the edges, but the buzz was starting to happen. The first time I heard someone make reference to the interesting art that was starting to happen there, I thought, "Why would a bunch of artists move to Williamsburg?" You see, I was from Virginia, and to me Williamsburg meant twee historical tourist trap Colonial Williamsburg. So young, so dumb.

Anyway, James Victore is an artist with a studio in Wliliamsburg BROOKLYN and museum-quality posters of his work are, according to Fab, "now publicly available for the first time." His work can be seen at MOMA, the Louvre, the Library of Congress, the Design Museum in Zurich and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
